A pilot production line for the manufacture of conductive/semi-conductive materials based on silver or metallic oxides nanoparticles
Description of Projectidea
The use of nanomaterials has been described to a great extent over the last 5 years. However, there is no process for mass production and only lab quantities are available at high cost.
To enable the use of nanotechnology and reduced the time to market for innovative applications, the availability of large scale testing, pilot and manufacturing facilities is necessary.
The objective of this consortium would be to set up a complete pilot production line (TRL7) for the manufacture of conductive/semi-conductive materials based on silver or metallic oxides nanoparticles. Targeted applications would be from the printed electronic market (sensors, RFID tags...).
The aim is to increase the level of robustness and repeatability of such industrial processes; to optimise and evaluate the increased performance of production lines in terms of productivity and cost-effectiveness; and finally to assess the sustainability, functionality and performance of the produced new materials.
