ADMANCROSS - ADvanced MANufacturing technologies with CROSS-sectoral application
The project would address importance of advanced manufacturing technologies for retention of EUs competitiveness in the global world, addressing also environmental demands (energy reduction in manufacturing process, waste reduction). The goal is to enable cross-sectoral exchange of manufacturing technologies (automotive, aerospace, whitegoods, electronics).
Description of Projectidea
The project would cover an advanced process - casting, quality control, welding - that has a cross-sectoral implication and greatly enables retention/enhancement of European industry competitiveness compared to competing markets (USA, China, Korea, Japan). Representative industries would be selected that have a comparatively great importance in European manufacturing: automotive, aerospace, machinebuilding, steelmaking, marine, white goods etc.
Consortium of partners, already involved
No existing partners involved. We have some established contacts with universities and R&D centers successful in H2020 projects.
Partners sought to complete the consortium
Looking for relevant industrial partners (LEs are desired).
The two sectors that offer good interchangeability of technology are:
- automotive (OEM, Tier-1 supplier)
Possible also inclusion of:
- white goods
R&D intensite SMEs also needed.
Industrial research centers & universities.
Pilot lines for manufacturing of materials with customized thermal/electrical conductivity properties
ERA-NET on manufacturing technologies supporting industry and particularly SMEs in the global __br__competition
Network to capitalise on strong European position in materials modelling and to allow industry to reap the benefits
